NFL Sunday Ticket 2026: Price for New and Returning Users, How to Cancel

NFL Sunday Ticket is $240 for new users but $378 or $480 if you had it before, in 8 non-cancelable installments. Season passes are not refundable; what you can cancel.

Published

NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube has two price lists, and which one you see depends on whether you have ever bought it before. On YouTube’s own plans page, read October 8, 2026, a new user pays $240 for the season, or 8 payments of $30, whether the package rides on a YouTube TV plan or stands alone on YouTube. A returning user pays $378 (8 x $47.25) with YouTube TV, or $480 (8 x $60) on YouTube alone. The installments are “non-cancelable,” a Season Pass cannot be refunded once the season starts, and the only thing you can cancel mid-season is a Month-to-Month plan. This guide lays out the prices, the two discounts that still exist (students at $119, YouTube Premium members at $204 until November 2), and the exact cancel and renewal rules from YouTube’s help pages. For the base plan itself, our YouTube TV cancellation guide covers pause, refunds and the DVR clock.

The quick answer

  • New users: “$240 or 8 non-cancelable payments of $30/mo (1st charged at purchase),” on YouTube TV or on YouTube. A 7-day free trial exists for new users “not available everywhere”
  • Returning users with YouTube TV: $378, or 8 non-cancelable payments of $47.25, the first charged at purchase
  • Returning users on YouTube alone: $480, or 8 non-cancelable payments of $60, the first charged at purchase
  • Plus the base plan: on YouTube TV you also need an active plan. The help page says “YouTube TV is $82.99 per month.”; the plans page is advertising a Sports and News Plan at $49.99 for five months, then $71.99, for new users through November 16, 2026
  • Discounts: students “$119” on YouTube Primetime Channels, one-time, no renewal; paid YouTube Premium members “$204” for first-time buyers, “available until November 2, 2026”
  • Cancel and refund: Season Pass, “we do not offer cancellations or refunds”; Month-to-Month, cancel anytime and keep access to the next billing date, “We do not offer refunds.”

Prices from YouTube’s NFL Sunday Ticket plans page and three YouTube TV Help articles, read October 8, 2026. iOS in-app pricing “may differ.”

Diagram: NFL Sunday Ticket prices in October 2026, 240 dollars for new users on YouTube TV or YouTube, 378 dollars for returning users with YouTube TV, 480 dollars for returning users on YouTube alone, 119 dollars for verified students, 204 dollars for paid YouTube Premium members until November 2, all season passes non-refundable

New versus returning: the same package, a different bill

The plans page headlines the new-user offer and buries the returning price in footnotes. With a YouTube TV plan, the footnote reads: the free trial “is for 7 days (new users only, not available everywhere), then NFL Sunday Ticket with a YouTube TV Plan is $240 or 8 non-cancelable payments of $30/mo (1st charged at purchase). Returning users pay $378 or 8 non-cancelable payments of $47.25/mo (1st charged at purchase).” Without YouTube TV, on YouTube’s Primetime Channels, the standalone footnote gives new users the same $240 or 8 x $30, and returning users $480 or 8 x $60, with the first payment charged at purchase in both cases.

Two things follow. A returning subscriber pays $138 more than a newcomer for the identical add-on, or $240 more on the standalone version. And the YouTube TV route is cheaper for returners only because a base plan is attached; the help page’s pricing article spells that out: “Keep in mind that NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV requires an active YouTube TV plan. YouTube TV is $82.99 per month.” The plans page adds the lock: “Active YouTube TV Plan required. If you cancel your YouTube TV Plan, you lose access to NFL Sunday Ticket.”

The $82.99 question and the Sports and News Plan

The help article prices YouTube TV at $82.99. The plans page, on the same day, bundles Sunday Ticket with something cheaper: ”+$49.99/mo for the YouTube TV Sports and News Plan for your first 5 months, then $71.99/mo,” with the footnote “YouTube TV Sports and News Plan offer: new YouTube TV users, ends 11/16/26. No refunds. Cancel anytime.” So a new user’s first season can be $240 plus five months at $49.99, while the help center still describes the $82.99 base plan as the requirement. Who counts as a new YouTube TV user is covered in our new-user deal eligibility guide, and the base-plan prices across services are in the streaming price guide.

Installments are a commitment, not a subscription

The word that matters on every price line is “non-cancelable.” The renewals article explains what it means: “Choosing monthly installments breaks up the season cost, but it represents a full-season commitment. Because of this, you cannot cancel mid-season to stop your monthly payments.” The pricing article’s refund answer is just as flat: “For Season Passes we do not offer cancellations or refunds for NFL Sunday Ticket. You can cancel your automatic renewal for future seasons.”

The exception is the Month-to-Month plan, which YouTube offers instead of single-team or single-week options: “We don’t currently offer single team plans or weekly purchasing options. We do offer a Month-to-Month plan allowing you to sign up for NFL Sunday Ticket without having to commit to the entire season.” Its rule: “If you purchased Month-to-Month you’ll get charged on the same billing date each month but can cancel at any time and maintain access until your next billing date. We do not offer refunds.”

Renewal: full price, automatically, before next season

If you bought a Season Pass, next year’s charge is already scheduled. “If you purchased a Season Pass, your NFL Sunday Ticket subscription will automatically renew at full retail price before the next season.” The renewal date is at tv.youtube.com/settings/subscriptions under the add-on, and YouTube says it sends an email reminder first. Note the phrase “full retail price”: a season bought at the $240 new-user rate renews as a returning user.

Once it renews, the door closes: “Once your Season Pass subscription renews, you can’t cancel your membership or get a refund for the current season, even if you cancel your YouTube TV membership. You can cancel the automatic renewal at any time prior to the next season’s renewal to avoid this charge.”

How to cancel what can be canceled

From the renewals article, on a computer at tv.youtube.com:

  1. Click your profile, then Settings
  2. Under Memberships, find NFL Sunday Ticket and click Remove (for a Month-to-Month plan) or the renewal option (for a Season Pass)
  3. Confirm with “Yes, Cancel”
  4. Wait for the email: “Once you’ve canceled your renewal, we’ll email you a confirmation.”

One trap sits in the pause feature. “You cannot cancel renewal for your NFL Sunday Ticket add-on if your YouTube TV membership is paused. You must unpause your YouTube TV membership first before cancelling your renewal.” The same article adds that canceling the YouTube TV membership also cancels the Sunday Ticket renewal, so dropping the base plan after the season ends the add-on’s future charges too. Pausing itself is explained in our pause-instead-of-cancel guide.

The two discounts

Students: $119, one season, no renewal. The student page says “Eligible students can purchase NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube Primetime Channels for $119 and bundle it with NFL RedZone for $10 more for a limited time.” The requirements are to be 18 or older, to be verified as a student by SheerID, and to be located in the United States when you buy; the school itself does not have to be in the US. Unlike the regular pass, “Your NFL Sunday Ticket Student Plan is a one-time purchase. Your membership will not automatically renew for the next season.” YouTube also recommends signing up with a personal email rather than a school address, because some school domains block the verification mail.

YouTube Premium members: $204 until November 2. The Premium members page says “Eligible YouTube Premium members can get NFL Sunday Ticket for the upcoming season at an exclusive price of $204. This offer is available until November 2, 2026. You can also add NFL RedZone to your package for an additional $42.” It is for first-timers only, meaning anyone who has never bought Sunday Ticket before, and billing must run through YouTube itself, not Google Play or iOS, and the commitment is the same as any pass: “There are no refunds or cancellations permitted mid-season.”

Where the documents disagree or leave gaps

Two base-plan prices. The help center says the add-on “requires an active YouTube TV plan. YouTube TV is $82.99 per month.” The plans page sells new users a Sports and News Plan at $49.99 then $71.99 through November 16, 2026. Both are YouTube’s pages on the same day.

“Upcoming season” in October. The Premium offer page, read October 8, 2026, prices “the upcoming season” at $204 with a November 2, 2026 deadline, while the 2026 regular season is already under way. The page does not say which season the $204 buys; ask in chat before paying if that matters to you.

The student price carries no season label. The student page lists $119 without naming the season on the page as read; the regular plans page does not mention students at all.

No single-game or single-team option. Month-to-Month is the only flexible plan, and it has no refunds either.

iOS pricing. “If you purchase NFL Sunday Ticket as a Primetime Channel from the YouTube app on your iOS device, pricing may differ.” The page does not say by how much.

Before you buy or cancel

This is a sequence of checks, not a recommendation:

  1. Know which list you are on. Any past Sunday Ticket purchase on the account makes you a returning user: $378 with YouTube TV, $480 without
  2. Add the base plan to the math. $82.99 a month on the help page, or the Sports and News Plan offer for new YouTube TV users through November 16
  3. Treat installments as the full season. Eight payments of $30, $47.25 or $60 are “non-cancelable”; only Month-to-Month can be stopped
  4. Check the two discounts before the regular price. $119 for verified students, $204 for paid YouTube Premium members who have never bought it, until November 2
  5. Find your renewal date now. tv.youtube.com/settings/subscriptions shows it; the renewal is at “full retail price” and cannot be undone once charged
  6. Unpause before you cancel renewal. A paused YouTube TV membership blocks the cancel button

How much is NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV in 2026? $240, or 8 payments of $30, for new users; $378, or 8 payments of $47.25, for returning users, plus the YouTube TV plan.

How much is NFL Sunday Ticket without YouTube TV? $240 for new users and $480 for returning users on YouTube Primetime Channels, in 8 non-cancelable payments of $30 or $60.

Can you cancel NFL Sunday Ticket mid-season? Not a Season Pass: “we do not offer cancellations or refunds.” A Month-to-Month plan can be canceled anytime, with access to the next billing date and no refund.

Can I cancel NFL Sunday Ticket before the free trial ends? The trial is 7 days for new users where offered, and the plans page says “Cancel anytime” for the Sports and News Plan offer; the Sunday Ticket charge itself is “1st charged at purchase” after the trial, so cancel inside the 7 days to avoid the full-season commitment.

Does NFL Sunday Ticket auto-renew? Yes. A Season Pass renews “at full retail price before the next season”; cancel the renewal in Settings before that date. Student plans do not renew.

How much is the NFL Sunday Ticket student plan? “$119” on YouTube Primetime Channels, with RedZone for $10 more, for verified students 18 or older located in the US.

Is there a YouTube Premium discount on NFL Sunday Ticket? Yes, “$204” for paid Premium members who have never bought it, “available until November 2, 2026,” with RedZone for $42 more.

Bottom line

As of October 8, 2026, NFL Sunday Ticket is $240 for a first-time buyer and $378 or $480 for anyone coming back, always in eight non-cancelable installments or one payment, and never refundable once the season has started. The cheap doors are narrow: $119 for verified students and $204 for paid YouTube Premium members until November 2. Before paying, check which price list you are on, add the base plan, and write down the renewal date, because next season’s charge is already on the calendar at full price. The NBA equivalent, with its blackout and renewal rules, is in our NBA League Pass price guide.
