Google One Price: 100 GB $1.99, 200 GB $2.99, 2 TB $9.99, 5 TB $19.99 Plans
Google One runs from $1.99 for 100 GB to $19.99 for 5 TB, with AI Plus sold two ways, 400 GB at $4.99 or 2 TB at $9.99, and Ultra at 20 TB or 30 TB. Per-gigabyte math.
Google One is one brand covering seven price points, from a $1.99 storage top-up to a $199.99 AI plan with 30 TB attached, and its own pages do not agree on how big the middle tier is. As of October 10, 2026, Google One’s comparison lists Free at 15 GB, Basic at $1.99 for 100 GB, Standard at $2.99 for 200 GB, Google AI Plus at $4.99 for “400 GB or 2 TB,” Google AI Pro at $19.99 for 5 TB, and Google AI Ultra at $99.99 or $199.99 for 20 TB or 30 TB. The plan picker on the same site sells the AI Plus tier as “Google AI Plus (2 TB)” at $9.99, while the Gemini subscriptions page sells it at $4.99 with 400 GB. This guide sets out every plan, the price per gigabyte Google does not print, what the AI tiers add beyond storage, the sharing rules, and where the pages diverge. What the AI tiers do with Gemini is covered in detail in our Google AI plans guide.

Prices, storage and multipliers from Google One’s overview comparison and plan picker, read October 10, 2026, US. Per-gigabyte figures use 1 TB as 1,000 GB.

The free 15 GB, and how plan storage counts
Google’s storage help page starts everyone at the same place: “Every Google Account comes with up to 15 GB of cloud storage at no charge, which is shared across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.” The overview page describes paid plans as totals that include that allowance: “Your Google Account gives you 15 GB of storage, which is included as part of the total storage offered in Google One plans,” and the plan picker lists Basic as “100 GB total storage for Google Photos, Drive & Gmail.” The help page phrases the same arithmetic the other way round, saying Google One storage “is added on top of the up to 15 GB of storage included with your Google Account.” Either way, a Basic subscriber has 100 GB to use, not 115.
Basic and Standard: storage only, $1.99 and $2.99
The two storage-only plans are on the overview’s “Google storage plans” cards: Basic at “$1.99/month” for “100 GB storage” and Standard at “$2.99/month” for “200 GB storage.” Neither adds Gemini features; in the comparison table they sit with Free on every AI row, marked “Limited” where the AI tiers get “More” or “Expanded.” What they do add is capacity across the three apps, device backup, the storage manager, and sharing: “With Google One, you can share your storage with up to five others,” and “Everyone gets their own space, and your content remains private to you, even when you’re sharing storage.”
By our math, Standard is the cheaper way to buy space at 1.5 cents per gigabyte against Basic’s 2.0 cents, and six people sharing Standard would pay 50 cents each.
Google AI Plus: two sizes, two prices
This is the tier the pages disagree on. The overview’s comparison lists Google AI Plus at “$4.99/mo” with storage of “400 GB or 2 TB,” and its plan card says “$4.99/mo” and “400 GB storage.” The plan picker lists “Google AI Plus (2 TB)” at “$9.99/mo” with “2 TB total storage for Google Photos, Drive & Gmail” and no 400 GB option. The Gemini subscriptions page, as covered in our Google AI guide, lists the $4.99, 400 GB version. So the same AI features come with 400 GB for $4.99 or 2 TB for $9.99, and which one you see depends on which Google page you buy from. By our math the extra $5 buys 1.6 TB, and the 2 TB version at 0.5 cents per gigabyte is the second-cheapest storage on Google’s list.
The AI side is the same on both: “Gemini app access with double the usage limits than without a Google AI plan, plus access to our Flash Thinking model,” “Google Flow with expanded access to Google’s creative models,” “Gemini in Gmail” and “Gemini Notebook with more access.” The comparison gives Plus “200/mo” Google Flow credits against the “100/mo + 50/day” of the non-AI plans, and “Limited” file upload size against “More.”
Google AI Pro: $19.99, 5 TB and the bundle
Pro is “$19.99/mo” with “5 TB total storage,” and the plan picker lists its extras: “Gemini app access that’s four times higher than without a Google AI plan, plus access to our Pro model, Deep Research and more,” “Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Vids & More,” “Gemini Notebook with expanded access,” “YouTube Premium Lite · Individual” and “Google Home Premium · Standard.” The comparison adds a “1 million” token context window, “1,000/mo” Flow credits and “Expanded” limits across the AI rows.
The overview spells out the perks. “A Google AI Pro subscription comes with YouTube Premium Lite,” which means fewer ads on most videos rather than the full ad-free plan. “A Google AI Pro subscription includes Google Home Premium for no additional cost, and can upgrade to Advanced for $9.99/month any time.” And “A Google AI Ultra or AI Pro subscription includes Google Health Premium for no extra cost,” which “Requires the Google Health app and a Pixel Watch or Fitbit device (sold separately).” Students get the tier free for a year: “Students get Google AI Pro free for 1 year.”
Google AI Ultra: 20 TB or 30 TB
Ultra comes in two sizes in the comparison: “Ultra 5x” at “$99.99/mo” with “20 TB” and “Ultra 20x” at “$199.99/mo” with “30 TB,” the multipliers measured against the Pro plan. Both get Deep Think, the “Highest” usage tier, “10,000/mo” or “25,000/mo” Flow credits, and the full YouTube Premium: “When you get a Google AI Ultra subscription, you’ll also get a YouTube Premium individual plan for no additional cost.” Google Home Premium comes at the Advanced level, and Google Health Premium is included.
Sharing, annual billing and cancelling
Sharing is on every paid plan: the plan picker says “Share storage with up to 5 others,” and the comparison lists “Family sharing with up to 5 people.” One limit applies to the bundled extras: “Bundle subscription savings are not sharable within a family group,” so a family member on your AI Pro plan shares the storage and Gemini access but not the YouTube Premium Lite plan. Annual billing is available on the plan picker’s Monthly and Annual toggle, marked “Save up to 16%,” and the picker says “Cancel anytime.”
Where the pages disagree or need a second look
AI Plus storage. 400 GB at $4.99 on the overview and the Gemini page, 2 TB at $9.99 on the plan picker. Both were live on October 10, 2026.
Whether 15 GB is inside the total. The overview and plan picker say the free allowance is included in the plan total; the help page says plan storage is “added on top of” it. The usable number is the plan’s stated total.
Multipliers have two bases. Plus and Pro are measured against no AI plan; Ultra’s 5x and 20x are against the Pro plan.
Annual discounts are not itemized. “Save up to 16%” is the only figure on the picker; the per-plan annual prices are shown only after you toggle to Annual.
Perks have hardware and country conditions. Health Premium needs a Pixel Watch or Fitbit; YouTube Premium Lite and Premium availability “varies by country.”
Competitor comparison is Google’s. The overview’s “Other AI Plans* Starting at $8/mo” line carries the footnote “Competitors’ pricing and features are subject to change.”
Before you pick a plan
This is a list of things to check, not a recommendation:
- Need only space? Standard at $2.99 for 200 GB is the cheapest per gigabyte among the storage-only plans
- Need a lot of space but little AI? AI Plus at 2 TB for $9.99 costs half of what Basic charges per gigabyte
- Buying AI Plus? Check which page you are on: $4.99 gets 400 GB, $9.99 gets 2 TB
- Already pay for YouTube Premium Lite or Google Home Premium? AI Pro includes both, which changes the comparison
- Sharing with family? Storage and Gemini access are shareable; bundled YouTube and Home perks are not
- Student? Google AI Pro is free for a year under the current offer
