Sling TV Price: Six Plans From $19.99 to $60.99 and What Each Includes
Sling sells Essentials $19.99, Select from $19.99, Orange $45.99, Blue from $45.99 and two combos. Streams, DVR, local channels and why some markets see $9 to $10 more.
Sling TV now sells six base plans, not two, and the price you see depends on where you live. As of October 10, 2026, Sling’s pages list Sling Essentials at $19.99 a month, Sling Select from $19.99, Sling Essentials & Select from $34.99, Sling Orange at $45.99, Sling Blue from $45.99 and Sling Orange & Blue from $60.99. Read from a Los Angeles ZIP code, the same page’s plan cards showed Select at $29.99, Essentials & Select at $44.99, Blue at $54.99 and Orange & Blue at $69.99, which is $9 to $10 above the “starting at” figures for exactly the plans that carry local FOX, ABC and NBC in select markets. This guide sets out what each plan includes, how many streams you get, the DVR and add-on terms, the no-trial and no-refund rules in Sling’s own words, and that local-market price gap. For how Sling’s prices compare with the big live TV bundles, our YouTube TV plans guide and streaming price tracker carry the other numbers.

Six plans in two families
Sling’s home page groups the plans as “Basic plans” and “Full plans.” The basic family is new and small: Essentials, Select and their combination. The full family is the long-standing pair, Orange and Blue, and their combination. Each family follows the same logic. One plan is built around ESPN and Disney with a single stream; the other is built around FOX, NFL Network and news with three streams and, in some markets, local broadcast channels; the combination gives you both lineups and the streams of each added together.
Sling describes itself as “a flexible TV streaming service that connects you to the best live TV without rigid contracts,” with the pitch to “add just the extras you’ll watch, and stop paying for all the fluff.” The home page also notes a product that is gone: “Sling Passes are no longer available.”
Essentials and Select: the $19.99 tier
Sling Essentials is the cheapest way to ESPN. Its page: “Access 10+ live channels: Including ESPN, ESPN2, Disney, Freeform, and more,” with “1 stream included: Enjoy your favorite shows and sports events uninterrupted on a single device.” The home page banner put it as “Get ESPN with Essentials for $19.99/mo.” There is no local channel line on the Essentials page.
Sling Select is the news and FOX counterpart: “A curated selection of channels including NFL Network, National Geographic, FS1, FOX News, and more.” It carries “3 streams included,” “Local channels: FOX, ABC, and NBC access in select markets,” and “App access to FOX One is included,” meaning “Use your Sling credentials to sign in to the FOX One app and watch the FOX channels included in your Sling subscription.” Sling’s offer details price it “starting at $19.99/mo”; the Los Angeles card showed $29.99.
Essentials & Select combines them at “starting at $34.99/mo” ($44.99 on the Los Angeles card) for 20+ channels, and the streaming rules add up: “If you subscribe to both services in Sling Essentials + Sling Select, you can enjoy up to four streams at the same time.”
Orange and Blue: the full plans
Sling Orange, $45.99, is the sports and family plan: “Get NCAA, WNBA, ESPN, TNT, Disney, and more,” with “Access 30+ live channels: Including ESPN, Disney Channel, and CNN.” It is a single stream: “If you subscribe to our Sling Orange service, you can enjoy one stream at a time,” and “Any extras you add to your Sling Orange service will be included in your single stream.”
Sling Blue is the news and entertainment plan: “NFL Network, Bravo, CNN, FOX News, and more,” with “Access 40+ live channels: Including FS1, USA, Discovery, and more,” three streams, local channels in select markets and FOX One app access. Sling’s offer details list it at $45.99; the Los Angeles card showed $54.99.
Sling Orange & Blue is both: “Starting at $60.99, get our top sports, news and entertainment channels including ESPN, NFL Network, USA, TNT, Bravo, FOX News, CNN, and more,” with “Access to 50 live channels: Including Disney, Bravo, Discovery, FX, and more.” Streams combine: “If you subscribe to both services in Sling Orange + Sling Blue, you can enjoy up to four streams at the same time,” one for Orange channels and three for Blue channels. The Los Angeles card showed $69.99.
By our math, Orange & Blue at the listed $60.99 saves $30.99 against buying Orange and Blue separately, and the four-plan jump from Essentials to Orange & Blue is $41 a month for 40 more channels and three more streams.
The $9 to $10 local-market gap
Sling’s home page carries two sets of prices. The plan cards, which the page personalises by billing ZIP code, showed Select at $29.99, Essentials & Select at $44.99, Blue at $54.99 and Orange & Blue at $69.99 for ZIP 90046. The offer details further down the same page, dated “Updated April 13, 2026,” list Blue at $45.99, Orange & Blue at $60.99, Select “starting at $19.99/mo” and Essentials & Select “starting at $34.99/mo.” The Orange & Blue service page also says “Starting at $60.99.”
The four plans with the higher card prices are the four whose service pages promise “Local channels: FOX, ABC, and NBC access in select markets,” and the two plans without that line, Essentials and Orange, showed the same price in both places. Sling’s own note explains the market part: “Some local channels including ABC, FOX and NBC are only available in select markets.” Sling’s pages do not state the price difference in words, so treat the “starting at” figures as the floor and enter your billing ZIP on Sling’s site to see your own.
DVR, add-ons and devices
Every plan includes cloud DVR: “Subscribers can record live TV and save it to their DVR with 50 hours of free DVR storage, and can extend to unlimited storage by adding Unlimited DVR for just $5/mo.” Two kinds of channel are excluded: “Local Now, Pluto, and any local channels added with an over-the-air antenna can’t be recorded.”
Add-ons are the same across plans: “Expand your lineup with add-ons like HBO Max®, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME®, STARZ®, and more,” plus Sports Extra and News Extra packs whose contents differ by base plan, and international packs (“Top Desi entertainment with cricket starting at $10/mo”). Sling’s free tier, Freestream, is separate from all of this: “Watch 600+ free channels with Freestream,” with no account needed.
Billing, no trial, no partial refunds
Sling is clear on three points. Trial: “Although there’s no free trial for Sling, anyone can watch limited channels on Freestream at no charge, and access doesn’t end after a few days like a free trial!” Billing: “Your credit card will be charged monthly for applicable subscription until you cancel your service,” and “State and local taxes apply.” Cancellation: “Monthly subscribers can cancel anytime by visiting their account,” with access running out at the end of the paid period, and “Programming fees are charged monthly in advance and no credits or refunds will be issued for partial or prepaid months after cancellation.”
Where the pages differ or need a second look
Two prices for the same plan. Card prices for Select, Essentials & Select, Blue and Orange & Blue were $9 to $10 above Sling’s offer details and “starting at” figures in the Los Angeles market.
Offer details are dated. The block is “Updated April 13, 2026”; the cards are live.
“10+” is the floor for both basic plans. Essentials and Select each list 10+ channels, with different lineups.
Stream counts follow the plan, not the account. Orange channels are one stream even inside Orange & Blue; Blue channels are three.
Local channels are conditional. FOX, ABC and NBC come only “in select markets,” and antenna channels cannot be recorded.
Prices change without notice. Sling: “All prices, fees, charges, services, programming, features, functionality and offers subject to change without notice.”
Before you pick a plan
This is a list of things to check, not a recommendation:
- Enter your billing ZIP on Sling’s site first. It sets both the price and whether you get local channels
- ESPN or FOX News? Essentials and Orange carry ESPN; Select and Blue carry FOX News and NFL Network
- How many screens? Essentials and Orange are one stream; Select and Blue are three; the combos are four
- Need local broadcast channels? Only Select, Blue and the combos list them, and only in select markets
- Recording a lot? 50 hours is free; Unlimited DVR is $5 a month
- Timing the start. There is no trial and no partial-month refund, so the first charge is the full month

Bottom line
As of October 10, 2026, Sling runs six plans from $19.99 to a listed $60.99, split into an ESPN side with one stream and a FOX News side with three streams and, in some markets, local channels. The plans that carry locals showed $9 to $10 more in Los Angeles than Sling’s starting prices, so the ZIP check comes first. DVR is 50 hours free or $5 for unlimited, there is no trial, and the month you start is charged in full with no partial refund. The bigger, sports-heavy alternative is in our Fubo price guide. Sling against the three big bundles, including first-year totals, is in our live TV comparison.
